Boy’s Golf
Breaks record at League Meet ‘

The
boy’s golf team took a trip to Lawrence to competed in Sunflower league Meet
last Wednesday. The Ravens coming in had much success and all of there previous
meets.
The
Ravens competed very well getting 4th overall in the league. Dillon
Funk one of the elite golfers in Kansas broke a record. Dillon placed 4th
which is the best individual placing in schools history. Dillon shot a 78.
Coach
Grove was very happy with the team’s effort, but missed their goal.
“We competed hard and was shooting to be in
the top 3,” Grove said.
The close game will be well needed for the
Ravens in the regional meet.
“We will need to chip and putt well in order
to score on Monday at regionals,” Grove said.
Even after not meeting their goals coach
Grove still believes the team can compete at the highest level.
“Our goal is to qualify for the state
tournament and then go and play our best at state. The goal will be to win a
state title if we qualify on Monday, May 18th,” Grove said.
The teams look to compete very hard and well
at regionals so that they can qualify for state.
